The MAXFIRE GREEN WAVE LITH-M GW50P is a 50-litre wheeled fire extinguisher developed for general Class A and B fires and to help contain fires involving lithium-ion batteries.

The unit contains 100% Green Wave Premix Lith-M, a fluorine-free, water-based extinguishing agent. Its cooling effect helps reduce battery temperature, suppress flames and control possible re-ignition caused by a chain reaction within the battery pack.

According to the manufacturer’s testing, the extinguisher can help contain a fire involving a lithium-ion battery with characteristics equal to or lower than those of the tested battery. Performance depends on the battery’s design, capacity, state of charge, enclosure and accessibility. The extinguisher is primarily intended to support the containment and control of an emerging battery fire. Successful extinguishing performance cannot automatically be guaranteed for every battery type or installation.
